From Netherlands to France through Germany, Volcom is bringing to Europe a mini festival tour immersing you into its Austin venue concept – a one-of-a-kind retail boutique, a full-time art gallery and live music venue with backline and recording capabilities.

The Volcom Garden in Austin, Texas, serves as the physical embodiment of Volcom’s “True To This” mantra by providing a free creative hub for the local scene with an emphasis on both regional and global creators, makers, musicians, artists and anyone that needs an outlet to express their passion.

With three dates through Europe, Volcom spreads its Garden vibes to Breda, Berlin and Bordeaux with one-day events at cool venues.

Each date will feature live bands and art exhibitions, mixing local and international artists revolving around the Volcom universe, but also a records & art mini market, skateboarding, DJs, food and drinks.
The Artshow at the three dates will carry works of Mike Giant, Elzo Durt, Jelle Keppens, Freak City, Hugo Zorro and Sinpiggyhead, and local artists will be integrated in the market.

With all shows being free to enter, good vibes are guaranteed!

The Froth :

After a two-year hiatus, Froth are back with their most fully realised work to date, Duress. Co-produced with longtime friend and collaborator Tomas Dolas (Oh Sees/Mr. Elevator), the record is unapologetically experimental yet undeniably accessible. It’s an impressive and self-assured statement from a group only just entering their prime.

With Duress, the Californian band has finally been able to realise their vision without compromise. Mirroring their open-minded studio approach, Froth’s live show is equally enthralling in its incorporation of analog synthesizers, overdubs and drum machines. The band will demolish stages across the U.S this spring performing with Black Marble, Versing, A Place To Bury Strangers DJs and more.

Freak City also is the designer of the limited Volcom Bordeaux tee shirts.

Sinpiggyhead:

Born in 1987 on the East side of France, Nicolas Côme is a pure product of the 90’s. From copycat drawings of his idols (especially Akira Toriyama and Todd Mac Farlane) he knew that he couldn’t take another path in his life. Dot by dot, inspired by Sayens, dinosaurs, video games, men in colourful costumes, genre movies, loud music, tattoos and morbid imagery, he composes his own alternative universe: dark, but also filled with melancholia and fun. Sinpiggyhead participated in a group artshow at the Volcom Store Paris.

Hugo Zorro :

Hugo Zorro was born in Amsterdam in 1991, and still lives there today. His childhood dream of becoming an artist like his father motivated him to go to De Rietveld Academie, which he eventually realized wasn’t the right place for him after all. While he gave up on art school, he never gave up on being an artist. As a way of making ends meet, Hugo started helping out in the kitchen of Pacific Parc, Amsterdam’s very own rock and roll temple.

Pacific commissioned Hugo for the making of their event posters for many years. It was also at Pacific where rock band The Applejacks came into existence, Hugo’s first band. His love of good food and even better music led to the creation of the culinary concept Loco’s Kitchen: a food truck with a stage on top. Gigs for both The Applejacks and Loco’s Kitchen took him and his friends all over The Netherlands. Meanwhile, Hugo never stopped drawing. Loco’s Kitchen retired in 2016, but the group of friends together went on to open Garage Noord in 2018, a restaurant and club situated in Amsterdam-Noord, next to Skatecafe.

Over the past few years, Hugo has developed a style that is unmistakably and, perhaps more importantly, unapologetically his own. His colorful and provocative illustrations challenge conventional ideas about man and machine, and, more often than not, also feature animals and humanoids as part of the decor. He’s experimented with woodprints, and has designed LP covers, t-shirts and logos for bars. Nowadays, Hugo divides his time equally between illustrating, cooking at Skatecafe, and making music with Fuck Fuck Fuck, his latest punk project.
